Wanted to get loads done yesterday and instead got an energy draining sore throat and ended up watching Independence Day on TV. Feel less drained today although the throat is still sore, so let's see what I can get done without turning this into a full-blown cold.

I can't remember this many things going wrong for me in one week in a long time, if ever. So, shortened version of my trials and tribulations of the past week:

I would say I'm back to 90% now. Still a slight cough and sore throat but I have energy and can actually sleep at night (and without a Breathe Right strip, too!). So, I've actually been able to get some work done, which is good since I have an assignment due on Monday.

This is just getting ridiculous now. I'm not feeling that bad today but the mucus won't leave me alone. I went to bed at 10:30pm last night and didn't fall asleep until 4:30am. And then I woke up at 8:30am because I couldn't sleep anymore. I tried going back to sleep but I couldn't. Argh. This was my reading week with no classes and no commitments ( Read more... )

Just when I thought I was healthy, I get struck down by mucous and coughs. I am fully blaming culf  for this since she's been sick for the past week and must have recontaminated me. I've been sick pretty much this entire week and parts of last week, hence the lack of posting. Not sick enough to keep from work, but just enough to drain me from doing anything except go to work, come home, and sleep. Normally I'd just let it run its course, but now I work for a doctor which means free medical advice! I didn't have to go into work Friday morning, so I slept in and dawdled until it was time to head over to the oral surgeon's. Getting the teeth out didn't take long at all. The doctor injected my gums in about nine different places, waited for the novocaine to take effect, then went in with his pliers. Each tooth came out easily and all in one ( Read more... )
